Low to the ground, broad in shape and quietly observant

The calm expression begins with the muzzle and eyes

The front view shows why this hippopotamus needs no dramatic pose. Its large head rests close above the outstretched forelegs, the softly rounded muzzle occupies much of the face, and two shaped nostrils form a quiet focal point.
